Christmas Handmade Gift

Christmas Handmade Gift

Ok, who is 100% done with their Christmas shopping?  Well, surprise, I’m not.  I still have a few gift to go.  I’d like to show you a gift I made for a few couples as wedding gifts.  I absolutely love how they turned out.  All you need is a frame, chalkboard paint, and some chalk!  Yes, it’s that easy to create this…….

I found these frames as Target.  I bought one for the picture you see above for a shower.  Then when I went back 3 weeks later I found them on clearance.  So I bought most of what they had on sale.

I took these frames, painted them in chalkboard paint, then added something on there with chalk.  If I was able to find a picture on Facebook I could download and print, then I added that.  Here are two of the frames I did.

I think they are so cute.  With the extra frames I bought on sale, I’m going to be painting several for our house.  I hope you are inspired and can make a personal gift for someone on your list this Christmas.

  1. I love this idea! I found your blog looking for info on using chalk paint on glazed ceramic flower pots. I’m so so glad to know – thanks to your blog post and gorgeous photos – that I can do it! Thank you for sharing these lovely and inspiring projects!

    • I’m so glad you found me and clicked over. I started blogging primarily so I could feed my creative side and quit putting it off. I just want others to know that they can just jump in and try it. If you mess up, so what, try again. I’d love to see how yours turns out. Email me a pic or link of your finished project!

    • I wrapped each one in tissue paper before wrapping to keep the chalk from smearing. I think they are fun gifts, and they can erase and write anything they want on them. Thanks for stopping by!

    • So easy and quick to make. The longest thing is letting the chalk paint sit for 3 days like my can said. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have time to make one.
