Christmas House Tour

Christmas House Tour

Wow, Christmas is in 5 more days.  I can’t believe it’s already here.  I hope you are ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord with your family and friends.  I also hope all your little ones are on the nice list and ready for the big guy in red.

I thought I’d keep this post short on words and long on pictures as I show you around our house for Christmas.  I hope you enjoy the eye candy!

Here is our tree that I sit and stare at each evening while enjoying the glow of the lights.  You can see all about our tree here.

Here is a close up of the packages under the tree.

Here is a little vignette.  Actually it’s a dream vignette because I so want an airstream to fix up.  The toy dump truck, and red tractor and trailer are G’s toys from when he was a young’n, and the John Deere is one of Bracken’s many toy tractors that he grew up with.

Here is our Christmas mantle.  The green tree is a little something I bought at Chapel Market when we went.  I bought it from the amazing Lucy’s Inspired and Southern Accents.

Here is a display of all the glass ornaments we’ve taken the kids to blow each Christmas at Salado Glassworks.  It’s so neat to see what colors they choose each year.

HouseOrnaments

Here is a little something I put together in an old wooden toolbox

HouseToolbox

The kids each have a tree in their room that consists of their ornaments.  Ornaments they received each year, collected, or made.

Now here is the cool stocking holder Rev (with the assistance of her dad) made me out of a lightening rod, some hay rake teeth, a plow disc, and a door knob.

Now here’s where the real action is.  It’s whats going on outside.

Copper2013Christmas

Copper is so funny!  I love when he’s in this calm mood where we can do stuff like this.

Check back between now and Christmas for a Tablescape and something easy for a hostess gift.

Merry Christmas!

  1. The dog is hilarious! Your gold and white tree is lovely, and I love the train track running around it. I enjoyed the tour and hope you have a Merry Christmas and a blessed new year. :-)

    • He can be so funny sometimes. He has provided us lots of entertainment and laughter. Thank you for the sweet comment and for stopping by. Merry Christmas.

  2. What a beautiful home you have, Shannon! I love that each of your kids have their own tree to decorate. {I need to start that so I can do my own pretty tree too! ;)} Thanks so much for the tour– gorgeous job!

    • I started that about 5 years ago. However, before this they had little 2 foot trees in their room. Now they are 4-5 foot tall. But I like the bigger tree in their room. They love decorating their own trees. I hope you can do it with yours as well. Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment.
